CSG Unwraps God's Gift of Love with Christmas Special 2012

The Christmas Season has always been the most joyous time of the year for us, Christians. Being in a Catholic institution, the Central Student Government made it sure that the spirit of Christmas is warmly felt by all, thereby organizing the week-long celebration of the CSG Christmas Special 2012 with the theme, "Unwrapping God's Gift of Love to the World this Christmas."

The week-long event started with the on-the-spot Christmas Tree Making Contest held on December 9th, Sunday, at the school's main lobby. The participating departments utilized recycled materials in making their respective Christmas trees. It took them the entire day to finish their artistically-decorated trees whose colors reflect the ones assigned to them.

The organizing committee officially commenced the CSG Christmas Special 2012 with an Opening Mass and Ceremonial Lighting of Christmas Trees at the HNU Main Gymnasium on December 10th, Monday. The venue was jam packed with enthusiastic students, faculty, and administrators who were all eager to feel the lively spirit of the holiday season. The judging of the different Christmas trees immediately followed thereafter.

As a conclusion to the week-long celebration, there was a Christmas Sing Off on the night of December 14th, Friday, which was actively participated by all the departments. The program started with an opening presentation from the participants themselves, singing to GLEE's 'Some Nights.' During the program, Christmas-themed music videos, made and edited by the students, were being played and gifts were given to lucky students for the 'Pamaskong Handog ng CSG.'

The following emerged as the winners of the different contests organized:
