CSG National and Local Officers Gather for First Semestral Evaluation

The executive and legislative members of the Central Student Government, and representatives from each department took part in the semestral evaluation held last October 26, 2012 at Azir’s Place in Doljo, Panglao. The evaluation was not only done to assess the CSG-sponsored activities during the first semester but it was also aimed at strengthening the bond of the national officers in order to provide the students with more fun-filled and exciting activities. The facilitators of the said event were Ms. Emma Mae Bantugan, Deputy Executive Secretary for Administration, and Senator Thea Ivory Parras.

After having arrived at their destination and subsequently settled all the necessary things, the facilitators immediately announced the first activity. Its goal was to make them get closer and to know each other better. The activity ended late in the afternoon and afterwards, dinner was prepared. The evaluation proper followed thereafter. The Executive department was grouped with the LGU officers while the Legislative department had a separate group.

The first group was tasked to identify the strengths, weaknesses and the suggested solutions of the activities that were accomplished during the semester. The other group consisting of the student legislators recognized the bills which were successfully passed and approved and those which needed further review.

The following day, the student leaders embarked on a strategic planning of the upcoming activities for the second semester, particularly the CSG Christmas Special and the University Days 2013.

In totality, the activity was not only successful but it created a bond that will forever be instilled in the hearts of the officers in the service of all Holynamians.
