Vocation Week Celebration
One with the Diocese of Tagbilaran, the Holy Name University, through the Campus Ministry, joined celebration of her yearly weeklong Vocation Week last November 26-December 1, 2007. In line with the school’s Jubilee Celebration, the focused theme was, "Get In Touch with the Word, Be His Witnesses!" Major activities were lined up for everyone's information which also call for invitation such as: "Display of Vocation Exhibits with Prayer Service for its Blessing" last November 26. It was followed by the "Diocesan Launching Vocation Mass" at 5:15 in the afternoon at the St. Joseph Cathedral with Bishop Leonardo Y. Medroso, D.D. as the main celebrant and homilist. Fr. Romeo P. Bancale, SVD, the Vicar for the Religious and Fr. Andres B. Guban, SVD the University Chaplain also graced the occasion. Right after the mass, dinner was served at the Bishop's Palace. Soon after, an Opening Program was held with the CM Young Missionaries Club members who presented an animation dance.
During the daily noonday Holy Masses here at our University, "Creative Prayers of the Faithful and Daily Reading of the Prayer for Vocations" were done the whole week round. On November 28, the National and Local Vocation Promoters visited the HNU campuses for a "Room to Room Vocation Campaign."
