The Pioneers will be celebrating their Silver Anniversary since they graduated high school on July 25-28, 2008. Dubbed as "Shining Silver," the event hopes to gather as many batch mates as possible with some, now based as far as the United States, already confirmed their participation this early.
Hoping to make the event exciting and memorable, the coordinating group based in Tagbilaran has already designed various activities, which will kick-off with the opening of an exhibit at the high school campus in Janssen Heights on July 21, 2008. The exhibit will put together photos and other memorabilia of the batch. The exhibit aims to rekindle memories of experiences in high school and hopefully inspire the current crop of students to value the opportunities given them by Holy Name University.
The reunion proper will commence with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the morning of July 25. Other activities lined up for the day are the Business and Job Forum, Fellowship Night, and a continuing registration process. On July 26, the Pioneers will have their motorcade along the main city thoroughfares, tour of Janssen Campus culminating at the high school building, outreach, and a business meeting in the evening.
During the penultimate day of the gathering, a Family Day has been planned at a beach in Panglao together with the respective families of the batch mates. The last day of the reunion will feature an eco-cultural tour of Bohol, a thanksgiving mass, and evaluation of the whole event.
All members of the Pioneers are enjoined to actively participate in the preparation and during the reunion itself. Inquiries and confirmations maybe coursed through email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Those who wish to actively help in the preparations may enlist them in committees organized for this purpose. Ms. Liza Laway-Dohig, head of the batch secretariat, may be reached via 411.3432 and 501.9817, local 134.
