HNU delegates included the Taekwondo and Chess men and women divisions. The Chess players (men) brought home a silver medal while one from the female chess team got a bronze. Two males and one female taekwondo players also got the same.
The entourage of 25 players, five coaches and officials, and four observers was ably managed and escorted by the Athletics Coordinator, Mrs. Nemesia Guirigay.
Still on sports, the Tagbilaran City Olympics 2007 was successfully observed last Sept. 26-28. All public and private grade schools and secondary school in the city of Tagbilaran actively participated.
Holy Name University was awarded the over-all 2nd Runner Up.
Falcons Down the Stallions
On the occasion of the 105th Founder’s Day of Silliman University, in Dumaguete City celebrated on Aug. 19, 2007, the HNU Basketball Men & Women trouped for an invitational game against the SWU team.
The HNU Falcons bested out SWU Stallions.
HNU Taekwondo Teams Bagged Medals
In another sports event, bronze and silver medals were bagged by the Taekwondo teams in the elementary and secondary division of HNU during the Annual Milo Olympics last Sept. 8-9, 2007 in Cebu City.
