Holy Name University has a lot to be proud of in this jubilee year. HNU makes another milestone as the first university in the province to trailblaze in communication technology in partnership with Globe Telecom in providing Holynamians with their very own SIM card: the MyHNU Prepaid SIM!

HNU and Globe officially launched the MyHNU SIM on August 28, 2007 with an opening program at the Lesage Building. On the same day, Globe representatives distributed MyHNU SIM cards while hosting games and giving away freebies in the Lesage and Janssen campuses. Javines Jr., SVD, HNU Vice-President for Administration, shared HNU's vision for the future with MyHNU SIM. This was followed by a message from Globe given by Ms. Tania Padilla, Region Head Business Centers Visayas. Ms. Rina Sha, Globe Segment Business Manager presented the "Affinity Program of Globe Telecom," while Mr. David Maulas, president of the HNU Central Student Government, talked about the benefits of Globe and HNU's partnership for the students.

An audio-video presentation about the MyHNU SIM, prepared by Mr. Marianito Luspo, Director, Office of the Cultural Affairs Development, was shown to the audience.

The affair was also attended by Fr. Romeo P. Bancale, SVD, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, along with the deans, heads of offices, faculty, employees, and students. Globe representatives and members of the press were also present. After the talks, the ceremonial MOA Signing and photo-op was participated in by Fr. Felino B. Javines, Jr., SVD, Fr. Romeo P. Bancale, SVD, Ms. Tania Padilla, and Ms. Rina Sha.

An open forum was held with members of the press. The program finally concluded with a cocktail and social interaction.
