The College of Commerce and Accountancy (CoCA) got the approval of the University President to change its name to College of Business and Accountancy (CBA). This is a result of the Memorandum Order No. 39 series of 2006 entitled, “Policies, Standards and Guidelines for Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)” issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Section 3 of the said memorandum provides that “the degree program herein shall be called Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA).” Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering Bachelor of Science in Commerce shall likewise adopt the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The BSBA Program includes five major areas namely: Human Resource Development Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Operations Management and Business Economics. The change of name was well accepted by the faculty and students for it captures the programs other than Commerce and Accountancy offered by the College, viz.: Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Management and Computer Secretarial.
