Frt. Severo B. Biton, Jr., SVD.was born on August 19, Frt. Jong as he is fondly called hails from Sta. Clara, Lamitan, Basilan Province. He finished A.B. Political Science at Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in Zamboanga City and graduated Bachelor of Laws at the University of San Carlos (USC), Cebu City in 1991. He worked as a Municipal Councilor in his hometown and served as an Administrative Officer of PARECO (Presidential Assistance for Regional Concerns) in Western Mindanao. The following year, he also served at the Office of the Vice Mayor in their municipality with the same government post.
Answering the Voice of the Spirit to a prevalent and profound call to serve humanity, he decided to join the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) in 2002. He entered Christ the King Mission Seminary (CKMS) for his Associate in Philosophy. After his Postulancy and Novitiate, he completed A.B. Theology at the Divine Word Seminary, Tagaytay City.
Now, Frt. Jong is the staff In-charge of the Liturgy at Janssen Heights Campus and prepares the 4:45 P.M. Mass at the SVD Residence Chapel. He is appointed by the Director as this year's BEC Coordinator for the College of Nursing.
Sr. Maria Fe I. del Poso, SSpS. or Sr. Fe whose birthday falls every 25th of March, comes from Punta Princesa, Cebu City. She finished Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Banking and Finance at the University of San Jose Recoletos, Cebu City in 1996. For five years (1997-2002), she worked as a Loan Accounts Clerk at Citizens' Lending Corporation (CLC), Cebu City.
At the start of her vocation, she used to be a Youth Animator at Don Bosco Youth Center, then with the Camansi Youth Organization and at San Nicholas Parish in Cebu City. She was the Assistant Vocation Promoter of the SSpS in June 2002 to May 2003. Part of her formation, she took Pentateuch Course at San Carlos Seminary, Cebu City.
As a CM Staff, Sr. Fe is the CM-Children of Mary adviser, the BEC Coordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences and the Budget Officer for recollections and retreats.
Sr. M. Lucy P. Sabas, OSF was born in Baybay, Leyte but grew up in Danao City, Cebu. Sr. Lucy is the eldest in a brood of six with four brothers and one sister. She graduated Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and earned Master's Degree in Pre-Elementary Education which she had practiced for 18 years.
In 1980, she entered the Congregation of the Order of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration commonly known as OSF Sisters. She used to teach at the pre-school here in our University and by vow of obedience, she is newly tasked to minister the CM Department.
Presently, she is the adviser of the CM-Catechists, the BEC Coordinator for Engineering, and the Property Custodian in the Office.
