The Faculty members of the Computer Science Department after a year's academic work, attended to their needs for spiritual deepening through an annual Resurrection retreat at St. Philip Neri's Convent in Alburquerque, Bohol.
Starting in the night of April 13, 2007 through the morning of the next day, Sr. Mary Joy Quizan, handled a guided retreat on the realities of experiencing God in day-to-day lives. Touching activities including a group sharing were lined up to enable the participants to recall their personal encounter with God.
The lecture given by the retreat master, Fr. Harold Anthony S. Parilla on the afternoon of April 14, 2007 was focused on sustaining the faith. But since according to Fr. Parilla, faith is difficult without hope so he also shared some inputs about hope and the temptations against it. He left with this stirring phrase that was one of the highlights of his lecture: Bonum Futurum Arduum Posible (our good future is difficult but possible). Cofessions and a mass followed after the much-valued lecture.
Aside from the annual retreats the faculty members of the CS Department articulate their faith in God through a regular BEC prayer meeting twice a month.
