As school year 2008-2009 begins to unfold, the door of the Arnoldus Campus, in the same manner, opens to welcome its new mentors.
Miss Jenielyn Goloso, a native of Tagbilaran City, is a new addition to the Social Studies Department after Mr. Pablo Baluma’s retirement.
Miss Goloso was a product of DWC now HNU, but after graduation, she opted to try her luck at Cebu International Learning Center and Alpaz Export Corporation. However, the call to serve her Alma Mater seemed very irresistible for Miss Goloso; hence, despite the lucrative offer coming from different institutions, she has chosen to become a part of the growing Holynamian family.
Her participation in seminar workshops and trainings shows that she had been in foreign lands such as Singapore and Malaysia.
Presently, she is handling Social Studies II and is taking full charge of the Social Studies Club.
Another newcomer, who is from Poblacion, Loay, Bohol is Miss Genevieve Delgado. Miss Delgado is a new addition to the Math Department line-up. She finished her primary and secondary education in her hometown. Inspired by her vision to touch young minds, she took up BSEd-Mathematics at Holy Name University where she obtained the degree of her chosen field.
Prior to her assignment at HNU-High School, she was connected with the Holy Rosary Academy in Lila and later at St. Anthony’s Academy in Carmen.
Like Miss Goloso, she decided to direct her steps to the Holynamian ground to become a member of the Arnoldus fold. She handles Math I and II. Likewise, she is tasked to be one of the moderators of the Math Club.
When Frt. Jong Biton, SVD went back to Tagaytay, the High School Campus Ministry has still all the reasons to rejoice because Frt. Biton’s chair has been occupied by a new regent who’s no other than Frt. Louie Cris Gregorio, SVD.
Frt. Greg, whose nickname is derived from his surname, hails from Brgy. Mintal Davao City. He is the family’s second child. His father, Mr. Hermoso Gregorio, is an agriculturist who has traced his roots in Polomok South Cotabato while his mother, Mrs. Luzminda Lamparas Gregorio, a midwife, is a pure Davaoenia.
Frt. Greg has two brothers and a sister. Right after his high school graduation in 2000, he joined the SVD. In 2004, he finished AB Philosophy from Christ the King Seminary in Quezon City. In 2008, another feather was added to his religious cap as he completed his course in AB Theology at Divine Word Seminary in Tagaytay.
Aside from giving his full assistance to the staff of the High School Campus Ministry Office, Frt. Greg is also teaching Christian Living to the students of IV-St. Arnold Janssen.
These new figures, as well as their seasoned colleagues, work as a solid team to provide the whole studentry the Christian-based doctrine education that they deserve.
