To promote more active participation of students in the classroom, the College Department of this University held a seminar-workshop on Student-Centered Teaching Strategies on July 25, 2008.
The seminar-workshop aimed to enhance the competence of the college faculty in the use of teaching strategies which give students executive control of their own learning.
The plenary sessions of the seminar-workshop were held in the Nursing Skills Laboratory of the St. Joseph Freinademetz Building. The workshops, in the form of concurrent sessions, were held in designated venues of the HNU-Dampas Campus.

The participants formed seven clusters with each cluster handled by facilitators who were members of the College In-Service Training Committee composed of the Chair – Dr. Roque Bongcac; Co-Chair – Dr. Guadalupe Saturinas; and the members – Dr. Marilou Uy. Dr. Abraham Encabo, Dr. Doris Patindol, Ms. Maricel Zaldivar, and Mr. Dennis Jayectin.
