As part of its Alumni Welfare Program, the HNU alumni association is gearing up for the launching of its physical fitness program dubbed as “Hataw.” The brainchild of Ms. Nila Itac, the indefatigable Physical Education instructor who has been serving HNU for 30 years, the project hopes to benefit the alumni, the faculty, and the employees of the university. This project aims to promote good health and well being among the alumni and also to provide venues for sustained physical fitness activities and establish a strong bonding among members of the HNU family. The project will be launched in the month of July in celebration of the "Nutrition Month" and will be scheduled every Saturday of the month from 7:00 A.M.-8:30 A.M. Aside from the regular exercises, inputs from competent resource speakers will also be integrated once a month; thus, making the sessions informative and interesting.
To sustain the project, a minimal membership fee of P 100.00 per semester will be collected. Those who are already members are assessed with a minimum fee of P 10.00 per session while non-members will be asked a minimum donation of P 20.00. For inquiries about this project, interested parties are asked to contact the Director of Alumni Affairs and Job Placement Office via 411.3432, 501.9817, 235.3399 (local 134).
