On February 13, March 1 and 9, 2008 both CAS faculty and students got involved in three different outreach activities. On February 13, a group of CAS faculty went to Catarman to participate in the survey activities with Purok 5 residents of the barangay, while at the same time, the other group of the CAS faculty and majority of CAS students went to Taloto for the mangrove planting.
To insure that all faculty get involved in the institutional outreach program, another batch of CAS faculty participated in the conduct of the survey held at Catarman on March 9, 2008. Headed by the Dean and the chair of the CAS Cedev Committee, Mr. Bernabe Mejares, Jr., the faculty spent one whole afternoon in the area. Those who could not conduct the survey on Saturday/Sunday schedule went on their own during the weekdays.
The Dean is very appreciative of the cooperation shown by those CAS faculty members who committed themselves to join the outreach activity. The activity was well documented as it was a display of the cohesiveness of the College.
