CRIMINOLOGY STUDENTS CONDUCT SHOOTING PRACTICUM

The Criminal Justice Education Department through the subject Defense Tactics 2 (Fundamentals of Marksmanship and Combat Shooting) conducted a live firing practicum. The activity was held last February 10, 2008 at 702nd Bohol Community Defense Center, Camp Esteban Bernido, Dao District Tagbilaran City. Fifty four Criminology students in the first year level enjoyed and experienced the breathtaking and challenging live-firing using three different types of firearms, namely US Armalite Rifle M16A1, Caliber .45 and 9 millimeter (9x9) pistol. It was supervised by their class instructor 2LT Robert E. Relativo (Res) PA and assisted by two PNP personnel of Camp Dagohoy of this City acting as range officers in order to ensure that the SOP of conducting a live firing will be strictly observed and followed by the students.

The chairperson of the Criminology Department Dr. Daniel Lao and his wife Dr. Porferia Lao also witnessed the event and gave moral support. The activity ended with a class pictorial.
