Long-term preparation pays off

PAASCU GRANTS HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT CLEAN FIVE-YEAR RE-ACCREDITATION

In its pursuit to provide the students the academic competitiveness they desire, the High School Deptartment has left no stone unturned in its campaign to ugrade the different dimensions and features involved in the school's vision of giving quality service to its current and future clientele.

The said vision would lead, once again, the whole High School Department force to be under the watchful eyes of the PAASCU accreditors. Prior to the accreditors' fourth visit to the campus, the different working committees under the Physical Plant, Community Outreach, Student Services, Faculty and Instruction, the parents and the students as well did the necessary preparations. HNU'S former VP for Academic Affairs Fr. Briggs Angngasing, SVD, likewise made himself available for various consultations.

On November 20-21, 2008, resurvey team headed by Miss Myrna Abiog (Staff Chairperson,/Administaration), Ms. Josephine Tero (Faculty) , Ms. Lea Rabaya (Instuction), Mrs. Delia Hernandez (Library), Dr. Vicente Araneta (Laboratories/Physical Plant) , Br. Ricardo Laguda, FSC (Student Affairs), Sr. Angelita Codilla, OP(Scool and Community) and PAASCU representative Ms. Maria Fe Antivola, did the actual class observation, and at the same time scrutinized the pertinent documents.

After months of anticipating the results, the whole High School family was brought to a jubilant mood on May 25, 2009 when PAASCU officially issued a statement that the Deparment was granted another clean re-accreditation for a period of five years. The said achievement has served as the school's motivating factor to brace for Level III accreditation application.
