This school year, the College of Nursing hired 17 new Clinical Instructors. They are the following:
He hails from Tagbilaran City, Bohol, the eldest son of Johnny Granada Calulo Sr. and Mary Jane Requierme Enriquez. He has two younger siblings: Johnny Jr. and Janilyn Jean. He studied at Bohol Wisdom School from Nursery until High School and studied college at Silliman University in Dumaguete City. As a student, he was an active member of Gawad Kalinga, Mary Immaculate Church Student's Forum, Youth for Christ Dumaguete Chapter, a Student Adviser of SU Kadugong Bol-anon, Chairperson of SU New Men's Dormitory, and Core Officer of SU College of Nursing.
Currently, he is the Provincial Coordinator and Representative for Youth Advocates for the United Nations (YAUN) formerly United Nation Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP) in Bohol and the Over-All Coordinator for Nurses for the past Medical, Surgical, Dental Missions sponsored by the Washington D.C. nurses last February 9-13, 2009, PCSO's 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary last May 8, 2009, Operation Smile last June 29- July 3, 2009 and the recent TBTK Sandugo-an Festival last July 20-24, 2009 in Bohol from the Gift of Life office.
Her close friends call her "Stel." She is the youngest in her family and had been married for 11 years already.
She finished her Bachelors Degree in Nursing at Mindanao Medical Foundation College, Davao City. Before she took up Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she already graduated her BS in Business Administration at Bernardo College, Las Pinas City. She was not a consistent honor student during her elementary and secondary years, but she was accelerated from first year high school up to first year college through the Philippine Educational Placement Test.
Prior to her employment at HNU, she worked as the manager of Baskin Robbins and Mrs. Fields, in Greenbelt and Alabang Town Center Branch for 3 years, after which she became the Line Supervisor of Travel Master Manufacturing Corporation, and finally as Administrative Assistant of Raeit Distribution Inc. After passing the Nurse's Licensure Exam, she worked as Charge Nurse at Candijay Community Hospital. At present, she is pursuing her masteral degree in Nursing at Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City.
He finished his degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing in June 2006 at the University of Bohol and passed the Nurse's Licensure Exam in the same year. Currently, he has earned 27 masteral units in Nursing major in Medical - Surgical Nursing. Giovanni is a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral Charismatic Choir, Tagbilaran City and an active vocalist.
At a young age, he had worked as a lecturer at American Dream Review Center.
"Grace" as she is fondly called by friends was born on November 12, 1987. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2008 at Holy Name University. She took and passed the Nurse's Licensure Exam in June 2008.
She was an active leader during her college days being an officer of the College of Nursing. She is a member of Youth for Christ Organization.
Currently, she has 18 units in Master of Arts in Nursing major in Medical - Surgical Nursing.
Jeff finished his BSN degree at Holy Name University in 2006. He took and passed the Nurse's Licensure Exam in the same year.
He had worked as a casual nurse at the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital from February 2008 until June 2009. He also had worked as a staff of Bohol Health and Philippine Gift of Life.
Kristoffer finished his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in March 2008 and passed the NLE in the same year with a high rating of 83.6%.
He experienced working as a volunteer nurse at Tagbilaran Community Hospital from December 2008 to June 2009, and at Ramiro Hospital from February 2009 until May 2009. Currently, he is enrolled in Master of Arts in Nursing in Holy Name University.
Before he became a nurse, Kristoffer was already a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of the Philippines, Manila Campus.
Gilbert was born on May 8, 1987 as the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodulfo Berou of Fatima, Catungawan Sur, Guindulman, Bohol. Gilbert finished his elementary and high school studies as first honorable mention. He graduated his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Holy Name University in March 2008 and became a licensed nurse in June of the same year. During his College years, he was an active officer of the LGU of the College of Nursing. He was so much involved with the activities of the campus ministry Acolytes and Lectors. He was also one of the proponents of the first winner of the universitywide search for Best in Student Research. At present, he already has 18 units of Master of Arts in Nursing at Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City.
Before joining the faculty of the College of Nursing, he had worked as a casual nurse at the Teodoro B. Gallagar District Hospital in Jagna, Bohol.
Aline is a product of Holy Name University. She graduated on March 2005 for the degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then received her license as a registered nurse in the same year. By the early months of 2007, she began to work as a volunteer nurse in Ramiro Hospital, Tagbilaran City for 2 months and was then promoted as a Staff Nurse.
Vincent is a graduate of Holy Name University last March 2008. He received his license as a registered nurse after having earned passing average of 80.40% at the same year. After taking the board exam, he immediately enrolled in Master in Nursing program in the same university.
He already received training in CPR, Oxygenation, and training classes. His hospital experience began with Borja Community Hospital.
At present, he is continuing his Master of Arts in Nursing. He already earned 27 units in this program.
Kenneth John "Alloy" was born on September 12, 1987 as the fourth child of Mr. and Mrs. Liao of Poblacion Guindulman, Bohol. Alloy finished his elementary education in Guindulman, Central Elementary School. He finished his High School in Saint Mary Academy in the same town where he earned the award in "Best Academic Performance".
Kenneth John earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Holy Name University in March 2008 and passed the Nurse's Licensure Exam in June of the same year.
He had worked as a staff nurse at Liao's Clinic and Hospital, Guindulman, Bohol from June 2008 to May 2009.
At present, he is continuing with his Master of Arts in Nursing major in Medical - Surgical Nursing and currently has earned 18 units.
Joeper P. Caballo was born on March 6, 1979, and was raised here in Tagbilaran Bohol. He graduated his primary grade at Holy Spirit School in 1992 and his secondary grade in 1996 at Divine Word College, which is known today as Holy Name University. He tried to become a priest, but eventually changed his mind so that in 1997, he enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at Cebu Doctor's College, which is now recognized as Cebu Doctor's University. After two years, he shifted his course to Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received his Bachelor's Degree in 2002. On December, the same year, he took and passed the Nurse's Licensure Exam.
He worked as a staff nurse at Cebu Doctor's Hospital in 2003. Two years later, he worked at Ramiro Community Hospital from August 2005-March 2006. And on March 2006-May 2009, he worked as a Clinical Instructor in Southwestern University, Cebu City.
Irvin finished his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in March 2007. He took and passed the NLE in June of the same year. His thirst far more knowledge in Nursing urged him to take CGFNS, NCLEX, and IECTS which he passed with flying colors.
Before joining the College of Nursing as a Clinical Instructor, he is already a Certified Public Accountant. He worked as an Audit Assistant, Audit Examiner, and Assistant Manager at the Bank of the Philippine Islands from July 1996 up to April 2004. Then he became a Bank Manager of the Rural Bank of Loon.
Erick was born on June 6, 1987. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Exequiel Raut. He took up high school at City Science High School and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Holy Name University. He graduated BSN as Cum Laude. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Nursing program in Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City.
Roy was born on April 4, 1987. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Labado of Poblacion Sur, Antequera, Bohol. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Holy Name University in March 2008 and is currently taking up Master of Arts in Nursing at the same university.
He had worked as a staff nurse at Antequera Community Hospital from October 2008 to May 2009. He is also a licensed intravenous therapist.
Roy's biggest dream is to have a happy family very soon.
"Joan," as friends fondly call her, is a 24-year old lady from Tagbilaran City. She graduated her elementary at Holy Spirit School, her High School at Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Holy Name University in March 2006.
Before she joined the College of Nursing faculty, she was an affiliate of the Medical Mission Group Cooperative Hospital as a staff nurse assigned in the Emergency Room, Delivery Room, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit from April 2006 to June 1, 2009.
Regie is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Nilo Vallega of Concepcion, Loay Bohol. He spent his elementary years in Concepcion Elementary School and graduated in 2000 as valedictorian. He finished high school at Holy Trinity Academy in 2004 and graduated with honors. He obtained the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Holy Name University in 2008. He is currently taking up Master of Arts in Nursing in the same university. Regie is a Licensed IV Therapy Nurse.
Presently, he handles Community Health Nursing, Related Learning Experience for the Level II students of Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City.
Vladimir completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Bohol, Tagbilaran City in 1992. He finished his elementary education at Talibon Central Elementary School and his high school at Blessed Trinity High School, also in Talibon, Bohol. At present, he is taking up Master of Arts in Nursing at Bohol Institute of Technology- International College.
He is married to the former Joan P. Wahing. They have two sons named John Paul and Joseph Benedict.
He had worked as a Municipal Nurse in Talibon Rural Health Unit, as a staff nurse at Las Piñas Doctors Hospital, staff nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cebu City, a contractual nurse at Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital Tagbilaran City, and very recently, as a Clinical Instructor of Bohol Institute of Technology-International College in Tagbilaran City.
"Rancel," as friends call him, was born on September 15, 1982 to parents Mr. Felixberto Floresca and the dean of the College of Nursing, Mrs. Elizabeth Floresca. He was a loyalty awardee when he graduated his BSN course in 2003 at Holy Name University. He finished his elementary education in 1995 and his high school in 1999.
Prior to his work assignment in Community Health Nursing in Holy Name University, he was connected with Ramiro Community Hospital as a probationary nurse for five months and with Medical Mission Group Coop Hospital for 5 years as head nurse assigned in Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room. Currently, he is enrolled in Master of Arts in Nursing program in Holy Name University.
