The HNU College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) gave a party for the children of Sunshine Home as the highlight of the CAS Big Day celebration held at the High School Gym on January 30. The Sunshine Home is an orphanage managed by the Catholic Women's League (CWL) Foundation, Inc. which is located at Cabawan District, Tagbilaran City.
The event with the theme "Concern for the Total Person: Reaching-In and Reaching-Out," was participated in by CAS faculty members and students who prepared a program for approximately 20 orphans from the orphanage.
The affair began with a holy mass sponsored by the Religious Education Department, with Fr. Anselmio Nicasio, SVD as the clebrant. This was followed by "Songs and Yells" where students from different College Departments loudly cheered and displayed camaraderie among themselves.
The teachers gave a return performance of the song "The Greatest Love of All" which they dedicated to the children.
The children then performed by interpreting the songs "Selfless Love" and "I Can" which garnered a deafening applause. The teachers gave a return performance of the song "The Greatest Love of All" which they dedicated to the children.

Jollibee, who was extra gregarious that day disposed his dance moves and funny antics.
While the children enjoyed the snacks, Dr. Josefina Clarete, Chairman of the Math and Natural Sciences Department, expressed her gratitude to the Sunshine Home and their social workers for pursuing such noble cause of caring and loving the neglected kids. This was followed by the giving of token and prizes which the children took home with them for them to share to the other orphans who were left at the orphanage.
