She answered our questions in lucid English as she convinced the members of the screening committee of her unassailable qualifications. She is really up to the teaching task. Mrs. Shiryl Dulhao Gatal is our new teacher in the Languages and Mass Communication Department.
She was born in Bislig, Surigao Del Sur. However she spent her elementary years in Mandaue City, Cebu. She is happily married to Mr. Greggy S. Gatal of Tagbilaran City,
Mrs. Shiryl Dulhao Gatal is a BA Mass Communication graduate from the University of the Philippines and a Master of Arts in Education graduate from the University of San Carlos. She has been teaching for six years now and has been a school Director of Stephanie Montessori Educational Center for three years. She satisfactorily passed the Philippine Licensure Examination for Teachers in 2005.
She had memorable work assignments as Media practitioner prior to her appointment as School Director. From March 2001 to May 2003, she served as an information officer, under the Public Affairs Unit of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII. From April 2000 to May 2001 she worked as Reporter and Main Writer for Kid Stuff, the Children's Section of The Freeman.
As a trained educator she exudes credibility in teaching Mass Communication, Grammar and Writing subjects. In the Languages Department, she is a joy to talk with. Her mass communication students find her gracious and accommodating in the classroom.
