HNU - CENTER FOR LOCAL GOVERNANCE WELCOMES NEW ASSOCIATE
Ms. Victoria Millanar.
The Center for Local Governance (CLG) is a section of the Centers for Research and Local Governance which is headed by Fr. Francisco T. Estepa, SVD as Director. The CLG takes charge of conducting training, workshop facilitation and strengthening partnerships with external institutions like local government units and non-government organizations within the province and beyond and represents the University in organizations like the Bohol Integrated Water Resources Management Board (BIWRMB) and the Local Governance Training and Resource Institutions - Philippines Network (LoGoTRI-PhilNet) handled by the Local Government Academy. The Center has undertaken projects funded by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), The Asia Foundation (TAF), The German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), The Philippines- Australia Community Assistance Program (PACAP), The Embassy of the United Kingdom, the Department of Interior and Local Governance and Tanggol Kalikasan (TK).
Because of the nature of the engagements of the Center, it was imperative to hire a new Associate. Thus, starting the second semester of this school year Ms. Victoria Millanar, a former faculty member of the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Department of the College of Arts and Sciences, became a new member of the CLG staff. Ma'am Vicky as she is fondly called, has been involved in the previous projects of the Research Center and the Center for Local Governance which includes the Institute for Environmental Management (IEG) trainings and several rounds of the Bohol Poll.
