The Philippine Society of IT Educators - Region 7, in partnership with Holy Name University - College of Engineering and Computer Studies, recently conducted a two-day Seminar Workshop on Technopreneurship, dubbed as "Towards Technopreneurship (a seminar on pitching and dreamagineering)", last November 18-19, 2016 at the High School EMC. The seminar was attended by IT/Engineering/Business faculty members and students from various schools in the province.
The first day was facilitated by Mr. Eddie Ybanez, co-founder at Micab and the session was focused on pitching. Mr. Prim Paypon of the Dream Project guided the participants on the second day in the Art of Filipino Dreamagineering. The whole day session was inspiring as it focused on understanding the environment where product development is guided by what resources are available, which community has been helped and what market is being addressed. Furthermore, activities on raising one’s self were conducted for the participants to fully understand their role in project teams.
The two-day activity was facilitated by the PSITE-7 officers in Bohol, led by its President, Mrs. Amie Rosarie Caballo (HNU), along with Board Members, Mrs. Norma Apao (UB), Mrs. Josefina Pangan (MDC) and Mr. Benjie Lenteria (MDC).
