CBA STUDENTS LAND 2ND PLACE IN NAT'L RESEARCH PAPER TILT

Proving their mettle in the national stage, the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) students land second place in the National Concept Paper Writing Competition held at De LaSalle University, Manila on March 1-3, 2012.

The activity is an offshoot after the same CBA students top the Visayas Regional leg of the competition on September 3, 2011 at the University of San Carlos.

The university's entry is entitled "EAT Danao Economic and Socio Cultural Impact: Proposed Measures for Sustainable Development". Comprising the team are Al Jun Amodia BSTM 4, Dandreb James Arro BSBA-MA 3 and Jesat Cathy Duce BSBA FM 4 with faculty advisers Mr. David Maulas as coach and Dr. Rosemary Zacal as consultant.

Judged on its rich literature review (content), thoughtfully-structured sentences (presentation) and strong internal structure (organization), the winning team received custom-made medals and cash prize.

Adjudged first is the entry from the De LaSalle University-Manila and third from the Bicol University. The competition is in consonance with the 11th Young Economists' Convention, sponsored by the De La Salle University-Economics Organization.
