US EMBASSY-MANILA AND HNU CAS-LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT HOST ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHER'S CONFERENCE
In its effort to reach more English Language teachers outside of Manila, the US Embassy Manila collaborated with the Languages Department of Holy Name University to host the English Langauge Teacher's Conference on October 18-19, 2010.
With an English Langauge Specialist from United States of America, Ms. Mindy Visser, the conference aimed to provide valuable input to update the English Language teachers on the current theories and practices in the pedagogy for Teaching the English Languages Skills in an ESL classroom taking into consideration the needs and interest of the language learners.
During the opening program, Mr. Ramon Boloron delivered the Opening Remarks and the statement of Purpose. In his message, Fr. Teodoro P. Gapuz, SVD, Vice-President for Academic Affairs stressed the significance of the English Language for Worldwide Communication. Ms. Shiryl Gatal, Faculty member, acknowledged the participants from the different schools in the Province of Bohol. Mrs. Rosalina Rara Sarabosing introduced the Resource Speaker. Mr. Raul Phillip Gatal was the host of the program.
