On May 6 -7, 2010 the administration and the representatives of the different sectors of Holy Name University gathered together to formulate the Five-Year Development Plan for SY 2010- 2015. Even before the end of the University's Ten- Year Development Plan (2002 - 2012), HNU addresses the need to revisit its Strategic directions in order to make it relevant to the needs of the times.
The two-day workshop started with several inputs on the current status of the University in terms of enrolment, performance in licensure examinations and faculty profile given by no less than the University President, Fr. Francisco T. Estepa, SVD. The data on the Cohort and Tracer studies were presented by Mr. Christian Anuta and Mr. Angelo Yuayan of the Research Center. An input on the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan of Bohol was given by the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and alumnus of HNU, Atty. John Titus J. Vistal. A series of workshops aimed at identifying the strategic goals and development strategies for the next five years followed.
In two days, HNU was able to formulate the following Strategic Directions for SY 2010 - 2015:
The different departments were tasked to formulate their respective five year development plans based on these Strategic Directions. These plans were presented to the members of the HNU Planning / Monitoring Team. After the presentations, another round of departmental planning will be conducted in order to formulate their Department Scorecards based on the identified strategies for 2010-2011.
