The Grade School Family opened its arms to a new member who seemed to feel at home right away. She is Ms. Elizabeth Garcia Jamora, who replaced the Kinder 1 teacher, Ms. Juliet Espina, who just recently resigned.
Beth hails from Lonoy, Jagna and was born on February 27, 1988 to Cerion and Mila Jamora. She is the 7th of the 8 daughters in the family and she spent her elementary schooldays at Lonoy Elementary School. Beth studied at Tagbilaran City Science High School then finished BS Family Life and Child Development in 2009 at the University of the Philippines, Quezon City.
She worked as a preschool teacher for one year at Play House Children's Center (B.R.I.G.H.T. Academy) before she decided to work in Holy Name University.
This soft-spoken and unassuming lady has the lines "God will make a way" and "Trust in God" as mottos. She loves listening to particular Disney and Broadway hits and spending some time playing the guitar. She appreciates people who are simple, God-fearing, and conservative and dislikes those who are boastful, arrogant, and greedy, as well as those who tend to speak ill of others.
When asked what she felt during the first few days in the Grade School, Beth said she felt happy with the warm welcome and reception she received. Moreover, she feels freer voicing out her opinions and expressing her ideas. It is her earnest hope that as a mentor she can help develop her pupils' sense of independence and healthy social relations. Like any other teacher, Beth likes to leave a positive and lasting impression on her pupils.
