Twelve third year Mass Com students completed their 120 internship hours for TV, and another 120 hours for Radio at the two leading TV Networks in Cebu: the ABS-CBN; and the GMA-7, last April -May 2010.

The Mass Com interns were organized into two groups. The first group included: Francis Marudo, Janice Parilla, Reynalyn Collantes, Junelyn Taray, Pauline Bancod, and Florence Lague. The student interns worked with Mr. Leo Lastimosa, anchorman, TV Patrol Central Visayas and other TV and Radio Correspondents: Mr. Rico Lucena, Mr. Dave Tumulak, and Mr. Junrey Nadela.

The second group had Mark Nilo Tero, Mark Anthony Gaso, Cyndie Myra Lu, Ma. Rica Estapia, Ronalyn Bonifacio, and Sarah Gagni. These students had great experience working with Mr. Bobby Nalzaro and Atty. Rose Versoza of the Balitang Bisdak, GMA-7, and with Kapuso senior reporters: Mr. Jun Veliganio, Mr. Vic Serna, Mr. Nikko SereƱo, and Ms. Chona Carreon.

Practical knowledge and skills of the Mass Com interns in scriptwriting, interviewing, floor directing, video editing and even the use of the video camera were enhanced during the internship in Cebu. Similarly, The Bohol Chronicle and the Sunday Post gave the student interns the exposure to complete the 120 internship hours for Print.

The summer internship program aimed to provide an opportunity for the Mass Com students to acquire practical knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes in TV and Radio productions and print, as well as to enhance the students' work values, competencies and discipline.
