Aside from teaching, Neil spends most of his time in the practice of his profession, he being a Partner of the Ochoco Ebojo & Co., CPAs, a local Professional Firm engaged in the practice of accounting, auditing, tax advising and management consulting.
There is no stopping the pursuit for excellence in profession for this salesman-turned-professor from Camambugan, Ubay. His latest addition to his already long list of qualifications and achievements is his Doctorate degree in Business Administration from the University of San Jose - Recoletos in Cebu City. He graduated on top of his class garnering the honor Meritisimus or "Most Outstanding Graduate." This is the first time in six years that the University of San Jose- Recoletos found another student worth the honor.
Another remarkable fact is that he finished his doctorate in two years and a half. His dissertation is focused on Corporate Citizenship and Governance Practices of Holy Name University. Such work is a proof that while he strives for personal advancement, he also desires for the improvement of HNU's organizational environment.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Holy Name University Tagbilaran City on 1997, and his Master's degree in Economics from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City on 2006. A semester later, he decided to pursue the Doctorate study. When asked what his main driving force was, he said, "Career advancement through the multitude of experience and learning that one will get from the classroom and from other people." Dr. Golosino continued saying that "Rubbing elbows with the elite in the profession and learning from them is a significant experience."
He occasionally elicits attention with his honesty and idealism, but this is all because he is one of those who do not settle for mediocrity. "A teacher should be an element of information. And information is dynamic. It is a must for teachers to pursue more knowledge," he added.
This 34-year old academic, husband, and sportsman is presently studying Law at Holy Name University and aspires to specialize in Criminal Law.
