The Provincial Government through the Public Health Office in cooperation with TB Linc and Provincial Council against Tuberculosis (PROCAT) conducted a motorcade last August 11, 2010 with the theme "Ubo Dalawang Linggo, sa Health Center Itakbo." The said event served as a promotional undertaking towards the organizers' pursuit of eradicating the physical, emotional, and financial effects of Tuberculosis towards the inflicted individuals and the impact it gives to the significant others in recognition of PROCAT's slogan, "TAMBLOT - TB Atong Masumpo, Basta Lihok Tanan."
This endeavor was highlighted with the participation of the member agencies of PROCAT, with which, Holy Name University is a part together with University of Bohol and BQ mall, among others. The schools contingent were composed of selected third year nursing students namely, Pacomios, Hora, Dungog, Bagaslao, Munez, Canda, Jorillo, Lauron, Bunjan, Valleser, and Cordenillo under the guidance of Mr. Erick Dave Raut, a clinical instructor, and Mr.Tyrone C. Hora, Academic Chairman of the College of Nursing. The motorcade started at 9:00 A.M. from Plaza Rizal to Island City Mall.
Indeed, the Lung Month Celebration has generated a heightened awareness that tuberculosis is highly treatable. All we need to do is to work hand in hand for the achievement of the goals and objectives of the aforementioned agencies.
