Earning money is one thing. Keeping and generating it is another. One needs an experienced person to have a chunk of money grow. This is why Rev. Fr. Vicente "Vic" Uy was chosen by the Superior of the SVD Southern Province, Rev. Fr. Heinz Kulueke, SVD, to handle the coffer of HNU after Fr. Emmanuel Sarabia, SVD, then HNU's VP-Finance, was approved of a study-leave in Manila.

Fr. Uy is a cleric who has undergone several exposures. After his ordination, he was assigned as the formator of the SVD Seminarians in Talamban, Cebu, then to a Parish, then as the Vice President for Administration, and eventually as the VP for Finance at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City.

Although he has a licentiate in Church History course in one of the leading universities in Madrid, Spain, he was only given a chance to practice his craft in a short stint at the Regional Major Seminary in Davao City for his assignments at the University of San Carlos.

As a trained historian, seasoned administrator, and a finance officer, sports also finds a place in the heart of Fr. Uy. In fact, then President Gloria Arroyo took him as a commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission.

When asked about his reaction for his one-year-appointment as VP-Finance of HNU, he said that he accepted wholeheartedly the invitation of Fr. Kulueke.

Being new to HNU, Fr. Uy eagerly examined its financial standing which to him, based on last year's performance, HNU is financially stable. His energy now is being focused for the centralization of purchases within the whole HNU management.

Welcome to HNU Fr. Vic!
