In her short message, Dean Salgados expressed her appreciation, thanks and gratitude to all the teachers and students for their cooperation, involvement and support in this CAS General Assembly. She further encouraged them to be more involved and supportive in all incoming activities of the college. And as mother of the CAS, she introduced and presented the chairpersons of the different departments and the officers of the CAS Local Government Unit headed by Ms. Maychelle Ann Tuloy as Governor. She further discussed the different curricular programs offered in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Fr. Anselmo E. Nicasio, SVD, Chair, ReEd Dept.; Dr. Porferia C. Lao, Chair, Criminal Justice Education; Dr. Josefina Clarete, Chair, Math and Natural Sciences; Mr. Crisanto O. Estonina, Chair, Social Sciences and the very versatile and eloquent, Mr. Ramon A. Boloron, Chair, Languages Dept. took their turns in introducing the old and new batch of faculty members as well as their newly-elected officers and advisers of the different campus organizations in their departments.
Dr. Joan Llanos, director of the Student Affairs Office, delivered a short talk on the rules and regulations as well as the strict imposition of discipline for the students to be able to live by the tenets and standards of HNU.
Criminal Justice Education Chair, Dr. Lao took the cudgel in delivering the statement of purpose and Ms. Cherry Maniwang led the singing of the National Anthem with this writer delivered the invocation. Ms. Socorro Anne Revilla mustered all her prowess as she emceed the lively program. This year's General Assembly was mainly sponsored by the Criminal Justice Education Department with Dr. Lao as Chairperson with Mr. Robert Relativo, Mr. Dennis Lumor and this writer as members.
The Assembly was highlighted by a lively entertainment provided by selected Criminal Justice Education (CJE) talents spearheaded by Mr. Pablito Mangaya-ay and company.
