CIVIL WELFARE TRAINING SERVICE

QUARTERLY REPORT: May-July 2009

The Civic Welfare Training Service Program for this semester Academic Year 2009-2010, officially started with a General Assembly last July 18, 2009 at the Lessage Gym. As of this writing, there are 29 sections with a maximum number of 55 students per section totaling to 1,596 enrolled in CWTS 11.

Newly appointed coordinator of CWTS is Noel T. Uy and NSTP Director is Fr. TEODORO P. GAPUZ, SVD.

Activities done for this period include the conduct of a series of symposia on the EFFECTS OF ILLEGAL DRUGS every Saturday which started July 4 until August 1, 2009 with a total participants of 200 students in the morning and afternoon sessions. The series of symposia is coordinated by the Guidance Center, CWTS and the Central Student Government with speakers coming from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The NSTP-CWTS students will again conduct a SEARCH AND DESTROY OPERATION , an anti-dengue campaign in the whole Dampas Campus on July 18, 2009 at 8:00 in the morning.
