Planning and Quality Assurance Office
The Planning and Quality Assurance Office takes the lead in the institutional planning, monitoring, review, management and implementation of programs and measures for quality assurance. The office, likewise, spearheads accreditation activities and compliance with requirements set by external agencies / organizations in the area of quality assurance.
The office, which is reporting directly to the Office of the President, ensures the formulation of policies meant to enhance the quality of programs and services of the university.
Accreditation and Recognition
Holy Name University has been granted deregulated status by the Commission on Higher Education for a period of two years, from June 1, 2019 – May 31, 2021 per CHED Memorandum Order No. 12 series of 2019. The Teacher Education program of HNU has been awarded as a Center of Development in the said field.
HNU is a recognized Continuing Professional Development provider for Professional Teachers by the Professional Regulations Commission for a period of three years, from August 5, 2019 to August 4, 2022.
With HNU’s commitment to continuous quality improvement, the university has volunteered to subject its academic programs for assessment by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). To date, there are nine (12) academic programs, including those in the Basic Education, which have been granted their respective levels by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).
