LUMINA NOW IN PEJ

C & E Publishing, Inc., the progenitor of accrediting journals to be included in the roll of Philippine Electronic Journals (PEJ), has accepted LUMINA, Holy Name University’s refereed and international journal, as one of its latest journals.

Holy Name University is an active member of the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research (PAIR). As a PAIR member, HNU prides of having earned PEJ’s inclusion of LUMINA. In fact, according to the PAIR President, Dr. Genaro Japos, LUMINA is the very first online journal from among the member institutions that has earned acceptance of PEJ.

The articles of LUMINA Volume 20, No.2 (October 2009) and Volume 21, No.1 (March 2010) were made available to the community of global scholars on June 16, 1010 through this URL: http://www.ejournals.ph.

According to the PEJ Usage Report of Rube Bloom C. Rule, the Acquisitions Editor of PEJ, from June 16 to June 30, 2010, LUMINA got a record of 1,524 visits from 34 countries throughout the world where Philippines got the highest mark of 1,410, followed by United States -32, Australia -14, Canada -13, Japan -7, and the other readers from the rest of the countries in the globe.

In its inception with PEJ, HNU hopes that LUMINA will gain acceptance of more papers from scholars in Europe, America, and the Asia Pacific.

Indeed, online journals through C & E's PEJ is a window that makes the works of Filipino scholars to be read and cited by other scholars in the global perspective. For this, HNU is grateful to C & E Publishing, Inc., and to PAIR through Dr. Gene Japos.
