Why Campus Ministry?

Formation is important in preparing young men and women for Christian involvement in today's world. With this knowledge, the Campus Ministry, thus envisions a program of formation that is integral, one that responds to all aspects of human development especially the moral, spiritual, psychological, social, and political aspects. In such a program, the individual acquires an awareness of his relation to self, others, God, society, and the material world. This fosters a prayer life that is both personal and communal.

The process in our Christian involvement consists of these phases: Awareness, analysis, action, and reflection. It is an involvement that promotes personal conversion and one which strengthens the systematic and structural change that the ministry envisions. In seeking for transformation, the ministry adheres to the way of active non-violence.

Thus, the Holy Name University Campus Ministry seeks to foster a Christian presence in Holy Name University and actively works for personal and social transformation for a truly just and peaceful world where the dignity of the person as created in the image and likeness of God is recognized and upheld.
